Energy Prices Rebound
November 2019 gas contracts are retreating as they approach their final day of trading on Tuesday. Since October 1st, the contract is down over 5 cents.
Today’s injection of 87 Bcf brings total gas in storage to 3,606 Bcf. Last week total gas in storage surpassed the 5 year average for the first time in more than two years.
The 30 day average price of real time power has fallen over $1/MWh from last week down to $24.91/MWh.
Electricity futures strips are sticking around $31/MWh after rebounding from 16 month lows at the end of September. The 12 month strip is now at $30.94/MWh.
