Energy Prices Rebound
Natural Gas
Gas futures again tested lower support levels after strong down days Friday and Monday following a rebound last week. September 2019 futures reached as low as $2.029/MMBtu.
Today’s slightly smaller injection of gas into storage moves total gas in storage 343 Bcf ahead of this time last year.
Electricity
No jumps to the price of real time power due to mild weather has kept the 30 day average steady, currently at $29.30/MWh.
Electricity futures are relatively unchanged from last week. The 12 month strip is down only 4 cents from last week to $31.90/MWh.
