Electricity Futures at Year Lows
Natural Gas
Natural gas futures prices are up slightly from last week. January 2020 futures are up over 4 cents from last week.
Today’s withdrawal of 107 Bcf was larger than expected and dropped total gas in storage to 3,411 Bcf, still 618 Bcf ahead of last year.
Electricity
The 30 day average price of real time power is down from last week over $1/MWh to $23.35/MWh.
Energy futures reached their lowest point in a decade on Monday, reaching as low as $28.37/MWh.
