Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center has awarded EnergyMark of Williamsville, NY a two-year natural gas supply agreement, extending its current business relationship with the natural gas supplier. EnergyMark will supply natural gas to Roswell Park and its research laboratories and related facilities in Downtown Buffalo.
Relief for the Northeast producer is near. Expansions on existing rights of way and pipeline additions will increase the take away from core Marcellus Dry gas production zones in North East Pennsylvania, flowing gas to cons trained markets in the region and to Canada, Mid Atlantic and the South East.
If temperatures return to more normal levels after two winters of abnormal warmth, the average heating bill across the Buffalo Niagara region is expected to jump by 26.5 percent – or about $123 – from last year's unusually affordable cost, according to National Fuel Gas Co.
On Monday August 6th, The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) ruled against the DEC and in favor of National Fuel's Northern Access pipeline. The pipeline will supply natural gas to Western New York and Ontario, Canada, from northern Pennsylvania through Allegany, Cattaraugus, and Erie County.This ruling removes a major barrier to the completion of this project which will help improve reliability of the energy grid while also bringing abundant, cheap natural gas from Pennsylvania to Western New York customers. The pipeline will run from McKean County, Pennsylvania, through Allegheny, Cattaraugus and Erie counties in New York, delivering an incremental 490 MMcf/d out of Pennsylvania.
