Electric Futures Rebound Off New Low
April 2020 natural gas contracts recovered 14 cents this week leading up to today, making up for losses that occurred at the end of last week.
Today’s withdrawal of 109 Bcf of gas lowered total gas in storage to 2,091 Bcf, 9.2% above the five year average.
The 30 day average price of real time power has fallen after last week’s rebound. The 30 day average is down to $16.34/MWh.
Energy futures briefly dropped to new lows Monday before rebounding sharply. The 12 month strip is now up 37 cents from last week.
