EnergyMark LLC of Williamsville, NY is proud to announce that the New York State PSC has approved EnergyMark as a Distributed Energy Resource (DER) Supplier. This approval allows for EnergyMark to develop and market Community Distributed Generation (CDG) projects like Community Solar & Community Wind Farms.
These renewable energy projects will help New York State achieve its goal of reducing carbon emissions, and sourcing 70% of its electricity from renewable generation by 2030.
EnergyMark president Gary Marchiori added, “This designation is an important one as it marks the beginning of EnergyMark’s transition from an energy supplier dealing strictly in hydrocarbons to one offering renewable energy options for homes and businesses.”
Community solar projects produce solar credits to customers in New York State under the new VDER framework. Participating customers earn credits deducted from their traditional energy bill each month, helping to save them money on their energy costs.
